Keith Chambers, 25, has been featured as soloist with the Naples, Delaware, and University of Miami Symphony Orchestras with such conductors as Erich Kunzel and Maurice Peress. He has won first prize in the Bartok-Kabalevsky International Piano Competition and was a prizewinner in the International Chopin Competition of Texas, the Grand Prix Chopin Competition of Texas, and the Josef Hofmann Piano Competition. Chambers was most recently a Semi-Finalist in the 2000 American National Chopin Piano Competition. He has performed recitals in several American states, Europe, and South America.
A native of Ohio, Chambers received Baccalaureate and Master's Degrees from the University of Miami as a student of Ivan Davis. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Houston with Nancy Weems. He has also been recognized for his harpsichord performance and original piano compositions.
